BACKGROUND
This project was for an assignment titled “promote thy neighbour (classmate)” as a graphic designer. My classmate gave me a reference image that was new to me. I created something based on the referenced style of art I was given.
CHALLENGE
I researched surreal images and graphic design trends, and I made rough drafts for making the concept images.
SOLUTION
My classmate wanted to see the various images, so I made two different concept images using the photoshop manipulation and concept illustration images.
Concept1- Ideas that inspire
My "neighbour" or classmate, Kyla, likes abstract art images that make her think, so I decided to make a conceptual image with her head as the main focus. The fishes represent her ideas.
Concept2-Concepts that captivate
She wants to live in a big city and work globally as a creative director or illustrator. The butterfly represents her captivating concepts and dreams - as it is a symbol of dream in Asian culture. The face represents
Concept3-Passion that ascends
She wants to be a creative director and work with global companies. Leadership was the aspect of a person she most valued, so I created an image that best represents her charismatic side. I combined images of birds and her face. Both her face and the birds flying represents leadership, freedom, and ambition.
